Lee County High Tech Center Central, High Tech Central, has achieved well-earned recognition. High Tech Central is operated by the School District of Lee County and is approved by the State Department of Education. High Tech Central is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education. Technical training programs focus around the career clusters of Business, Information Technology, Construction Trades, Mechanical Trades, Personal Services, Public Service, and Health Education. There is also a continuous schedule of academic courses for high school students, GED Preparation, academic remediation, and adult basic education.

The School District of Lee County and Lee County High Tech Center Central are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement SACS CASI). Founded in 1895, SACS CASI accredits over 13,000 schools and school systems throughout the United States and overseas. SACS CASI is an accreditation dividision of AdvancED. Through the accreditation process, the district committed to raising student performance and will be held accountable for improving student learning on a continual basis.

The Center is an approved  training site by the State Approving Agency under the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, and the State Board of Nursing.


The state has approved High Tech Central’s Early Childhood Education program for the mandatory 30-hour child-care training. This program is designated as a Child Development Associate (CDA) Equivalency program. This Center operates a Division of Children and Families licensed day care center, Lee Tech Tots Learning Center. The Early Childhood Education program has earned national accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In addition, the program received Gold Seal endorsement for the Florida Department of Children and Families.

The Automotive Service Technology program and the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) program are accredited through the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Inc. (NATEF).
 

The Gasoline Engine Service Technology program is accredited through the Equipment and Engine Training Council in two-stroke, four-stroke, electrical, and compact diesel.

 

The Public Service Academy is accredited by the following agencies: State of Florida, Criminal Justice Standards & Training Commission; State of Florida, Office of State Fire Marshal; and the International Municipal Signal Association.
